I’m a mum who works full-time and manages a busy household. Last week, my husband and I had to go to parent-teacher meeting at our daughter’s school. I only had an hour to prepare tea and get ready to go out again.
I remembered I had the MTR Foods masala rice in the pantry, chicken in the fridge and fresh veggies from our vegetable garden.
So whatdyaknow, I whipped something real quick. I had MTR Foods + chicken breast + fresh veggies = family meal in 20 minutes tops. The 20 minutes is from preparation through to serving food to your hungry family.
For this dish, you can use any meat you have in your fridge and throw in any vegetables you have to go with any MTR Foods packet.
For this particular chicken vegetable stir-fry, all you need to do is:
- Chop 2-3 cloves of garlic. Saute in oil.
- Add sliced chicken breast (or any meat, really)*. Brown the chicken.
- Add your sliced veggies.
- Add the MTR Foods masala rice packet. For this dish, I used a couple. Cook until heated through.
*For an even faster version, use pre-cooked chicken, shredded or cubed, and add once the vegetables have cooked, at the same time as the rice.
